Golf Swing Help

Golf swing help is something golfers at all levels need continuously. You never stop reviewing the fundamentals. During the golf season and during the off-season, golfers need to re-visit the basics and groove their swings. Getting back to basics is always a good use of your practice time.

The basics of grip, stance, posture and alignment are a good place to start. This section deals with those core skills.

The golf swing is a sequence of events. Once you've set the foundation, then you get the club in motion. Back swing, down swing, impact and follow-through even sounds rhythmic. Tempo and power come together after repetition grooves the right motions into the mind. When body and mind work together, the swing is a beautiful, efficient thing.

Learning the mechanics takes time and commitment. The golf swing is not a natural act. It must be learned to be repeated consistently. The ball you hit doesn't move, but the golfer does. It's only a one ounce ball, being struck by a one pound club. However, the club moves at 100mph or more and an off-center hit of just a few degrees can send the ball very off-target, very easily. Controlling where the ball goes takes a lot of study and intense practice. Sometimes it's hard to believe that a group of people play this game for a living!
